God so loved the world
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.

Who is God? God is the one who so loved the world that he gave his beloved. God is the one who in the Son does not judge the world, but wants to save it. How many distorted images of God. How many diabolic projections of the Father’s face! In the Son’s passion of love, the passion of the Father himself is found against the light. Who would give the dearest person he has for someone who is his enemy? The Father did this, and the Son, in an obedience of love, said: here I am! For me. He loved me to the point of giving himself. For me.

Love to the point of madness
Lord Jesus,
thank you for your
obedience to the Father.
Father,
thank you for the gift of Jesus.
Holy Spirit,
thank you for living in me.
Blessed Trinity,
thank you, now and always.
Amen.
