Fourth Sunday of Lent – 2026

Go, wash in the pool
of Siloam.

We need eyes that do not merely see,
but that know how to look deeply,
to discern with wisdom,
to contemplate with love
what is happening.
To truly see means allowing reality
to question us in its mystery,
letting ourselves be transformed
by the truth that it sometimes
reveals to us quietly.
More often, our judgments
arise from partial vision,
clouded eyes and an overly narrow
point of view, chosen in defense
of our own certainties.

Blindness from birth was considered
a sign of sin:
a visible divine punishment
that pointed to a fault of the parents.
But Jesus, who came to reveal
the true face of the Father,
