To celebrate the Year of Faith, the Daughters of St. Paul of Chile have inaugurated a new apostolic center in Talcahuano, situated on Conception Bay in the Biobio region. Located in a busy mall between two parishes and close to the region’s main school, the new Pauline Book Center hopes to be a locus for light, hope and evangelization.
The people of the area are very grateful for this Pauline presence and say that the sisters were very courageous to open a center in a zone that is still suffering the effects of the powerful tsunami that struck Chile three years ago. But the FSPs continue to carry out their mission for a clear purpose: “so that the Word of the Lord might spread rapidly and be glorified everywhere” (2 Th. 3:1).
