On 8 March, International Women’s Day, many cities throughout Italy took the opportunity to celebrate the creativity of women and their contributions to society in the areas of culture and communications. Among those who received awards were two Daughters of St. Paul:
- Sr. Cristina Beffa, who received the Anassilaos Mimosa Prize for her work as a journalist from the city council of Palmi, Reggio Calabria;
- and Sr. Fernanda Di Monte, who received a journalism award from the city council of Palermo.
