The Resurrection of the Lord

On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb.
Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying.
As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.(Jn 20:1, 11-12)

Mary Magdalene is the first witness to the most astounding event of history. To the only necessary fact. Overwhelmed by grief, her heart swollen with nostalgia and love, with eyes that had no tears left to shed, still wrapped in the darkness of mourning, she sees a stone that is not where it should be.

With that displaced stone begins a chain of explosive events which, from that moment on, mark the dawn that has changed history and that continues to change every person who welcomes the news: He is risen!

The One who was crucified for our sins is alive! He has conquered death! The path is now open and from now on everything is possible!

He Is Risen!
Jesus, you are the Lord!
Jesus, you are the Victor!
Jesus, you are the Living One!
Restored to life from death,
to you all glory and praise
from everyone, eternally!
Amen.
