Begin to rise again! (John 20:1-9)

Resurrection is not a future event.
We resurrect right now every time we immerse ourselves in the deep silence that allows us to slow down our life, release our tensions, and look at ourselves with infinite compassion.

Resurrection is not a future event:
it is the perfume of life that we already experience right now when we recognize that we are alive thanks to the fragrant anointings of our weary flesh by loving sisters and brothers.

Resurrection is not a future event:
it is something that is already here when we feel the breath of new beginnings.

Resurrection is not a future event:
it is letting our hearts be touched by the morning that quietly unfolds as the sun rises;
it is inhaling the first wails of newborn infants;
it is being moved by hearts falling in love for the first time;
it is dying with those who die, convinced that this is just a new beginning;
it is being moved by a first step taken, a first word spoken, but also by our first disappointment, our first fall, our first defeat.

Easter is not an event that comes at the end.
It is what we already experience here and now with every deep breath we draw, caressing our resistance.
