The initiatives that the Daughters of St. Paul of South Africa programmed to celebrate our Centenary include a meeting held on 1 August in Johannesburg to help people come to a better grasp of what fuels and supports the Pauline apostolate and makes it effective. Guest speaker Sr. Teresa Marcazzan, fsp, presented the Pauline charism to the group and sketched out what the FSPs are doing in the publishing field in Africa.

Our sisters were delighted that turn-out for the event exceeded their expectations. Many of the participants (laity, religious and friends) expressed their appreciation of the Pauline mission and above all the chance to get to know our charism and the figures of Fr. Alberione and Maestra Thecla more profoundly. One person said: “Before you came to Johannesburg, we were poorer. Your presence has enriched our spiritual life and ministry.” At the end of the meeting all the participants were given a copy of the Gospel prepared in Nairobi for the occasion.
