The FSPs of Bucharest celebrated our Institute’s 20th anniversary of foundation in Romania (29 Nov. 1993 –29 Nov. 2013) with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. Guido Gandolfo, ssp, and concelebrated by Fr. Eduard Giurgi, pastor of the parish in which our community is located.

The first Romanian members of the Institute of Our Lady of the Annunciation and many lay friends joyfully joined our sisters, gathered around Jesus Word, to commemorate this significant milestone in our Pauline history in this country.

Special thanks were directed to Ioan Robu, the Archbishop of Bucharest, who has offered great support and encouragement to the Pauline apostolate all these years. The event was also a favorable moment for initiating the fourth year of the “Pauline Spiritual Itinerary”–a spiritual proposal aimed at the laity in which the FSPs and Annunciationists also participate.

The tiny Pauline Family of Romania now continues its journey toward Jesus Master, Way, Truth and Life, striving to reach the full maturation in the Spirit contained in Paul’s words: “Christ lives in me.”
