On 19 September 2010, the little town of Santa Restituta (part of the municipality of Avigliano Umbro, Terni), held a ceremony dedicating one of its public squares to Sr. Maria Vincenti, FSP.

Better known to the Daughters of St. Paul as “Maestra Vincenti,” this big-hearted and broad-minded Pauline, a gifted writer and artist who was also blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, was born in Santa Restituta on 28 April 1913.
As a result of this civic honor, Maestra Vincenti’s name is now not only inscribed in the hearts of all who knew her but is also memorialized on the historical tablet that pays tribute to her. Although shy and reserved as a girl, as a Daughter of St. Paul Maestra Vincenti blazed important trails in the Congregation’s formation and apostolic sectors.
Besides her relatives, the many people present for the dedication ceremony included the mayor of Avigliano Umbro, a group of Daughters of St. Paul from Rome, the pastor of Santa Restituta, and Roberto Lucio Fugazzotto, Maestra Vincenti’s nephew and the author of a biography about her, published by Pauline Editions.
