Together Toward Apostolic Holiness: this was the theme of the meeting for our European Juniors, held at the Generalate in Rome, Italy from 1-9 September 2012.

After a year of study and apostolic activities, the group of juniors (made up of Sr. Andrea and Karina from the Czech Republic, Sr. Ana Maria and Paula from Romania, Sr. Sara from Portugal and Sr. Silvia from Poland), spent this interval reflecting on an essential dimension of the Pauline life: our mission. Drawing on the life and writings of Fr. Alberione and Maestra Thecla, the various speakers traced out the features of the Pauline mission and apostolate.

The sharing of their experiences and their ideas concerning how to carry out the apostolate during the Year of Faith, their times of prayer before the tomb of St. Paul and our Founders, and the joy of being together from so many different countries all helped our young sisters intensify their enthusiasm for the Pauline vocation. They summed up the encounter with this statement:

“After this brief but very enriching ‘pause’ in our daily schedule, we are returning to our communities with a deep sense of gratitude for having being chosen to carry out the same mission as Christ: to give God to people and to bring people to God.”

We offer our young sisters our very best wishes and prayers as they strive to concretize this goal in their respective contexts.
