8 May was a big day for the Holy Family Institute. On that day, in the Queen of Apostles Sanctuary, Rome, two Korean couples-Ambrogio and Chiara Lee and Francesco Paolo and Maria Juliana Cho-made their perpetual professions, while a third couple-Beda and Marta Park-made their first professions in this Institute, which sprang from the heart of Blessed James Alberione and is an integral part of the Pauline Family.

The three couples spent a year of intensive preparation for this event by studying and reflecting more profoundly on the Pauline spirituality at home in Korea. But they wanted to underscore the importance of the step they were taking by making their professions in Rome, which they had visited on the occasion of the beatification of Blessed James Alberione in 2003. During their sojourn in Italy, the newly professed couples also made a pilgrimage to the sites associated with the beginnings of the Pauline Family in the Alba area, made a spiritual retreat in San Lorenzo di Fossano (Cuneo), visited many holy places in Rome and some of the communities of the Pauline Family.

All this enriched the three couples with great light and joy and strengthened their desire to dedicate their lives to the Lord according to the Pauline charism.
