On Sunday, 24 May, the FSP book center of Salerno opened its doors to the Franciscan Family, helping its members to organize and animate a conference entitled, The “Tent” of the Word–one stage of a day-long series of reflections on the theme, “Safeguarding God’s Creation.”
The purpose of the event was to help the 50 participants (adults, teens and families) become more aware of the need to safeguard the created world, beginning with one’s own family, so as to transform it into an environment characterized by acts of unselfishness and love: attitudes rooted in the Word of God.
Our sisters say that many neighboring shopkeepers and even passers-by, attracted by the music and songs, came into the book center to see what was going on. Their presence helped to enrich the occasion, making it a beautiful experience for everyone.
