Sunday of the Word

The FSPs of Madagascar joyfully welcomed the Sunday of the Word instituted by Pope Francis–an important initiative for bringing the Bible into every environment and situation. After publishing the Apostolic Letter Aperuit Illis in Malagasy and French, the sisters of all the circumscription’s book centers used show window displays, the radio and social network to acquaint the public with their publications on the Word of God.

They carried out various initiatives in the parishes: radio and television broadcasts, continuous reading of the Acts of the Apostles, Celebrations of the Word and lectio divina, conferences, processions and Enthronements of the Bible, the production of bookmarks bearing messages from the Word of God…. In addition, the FSPs in Antananarive held a contest on the Word of God in collaboration with MEG, a movement that shares the Pauline spirituality and that this year is celebrating its Centenary of presence in Madagascar.

Our sisters hope that with all that has been sown and all that they will continue to sow in the future, the Lord will enable love for the Word of God to grow in the hearts of the Malagasy people.
