Formed in vigilance: Build your own ark
Mt 24:37-44

As were the days of Noah,
so will be the coming of the Son of Man

Paradoxically, we begin at the end,
from what we would have left for last.
Vigilance is the distinctive trait of the Christian,
it is the way we live in history as builders of the Kingdom,
a Kingdom that is “close” to your choices,
your weariness,
your questions,
your smiles.
It is not the attitude of dreamers,
but of those who are aware,
of those who know how to recognize God’s footsteps in their journey,
as passionate builders of a Kingdom
that begins every time we incarnate it in our moment in time.
Matthew invokes Noah’s Ark
because Noah saved that part of the world
that had been given to him and that only he could save.

You, too,
save the piece of history entrusted to you,
because only you can.
