From 28 November–7 December 2014, the FSPs of Vasai (in Maharashtra State) held their annual Pauline Book Fest. The purpose of this initiative is to help people come to better understand the importance of reading.
This year, the guest speakers throughout the week directed their message in a special way to parents, urging them to help their children cultivate the habit of reading because it will help them think, reflect and develop their personality.
In fact, reading enhances one’s life because it can help people become more conscious about what is going on around them, more creative and less inclined to prejudice. The Book Fest opened with an inaugural address, followed by a prayer and a dance.
