The story of Brazil’s FSP Music Sector (Paulinas-Comep) is closely tied to the story of popular music in Brazil and all Latin America. Today Comep continues to serve the Gospel, most recently through participation in the 27th edition of the important music event Hallel, held in the city of Sao Paulo.

Hallel, which means A Hymn of Praise to God, is an annual music celebration organized by the Catholic Church to reach a vast number of young people, who more than ever need the Gospel to help them integrate themselves more effectively into the life of the country.

One of the most important Catholic music festivals on the global level, this year’s edition was dedicated to mission: Divine Father: we are children who evangelize through music. The agenda of events included times of prayer, fraternity, music and reflection, all geared to this theme. Paulinas-Comep offered the participants in Hallel a message of life through the Ceremonya Band and the Chamas Group, both of which collaborate closely with the FSPs. Our sisters also offered everyone a note of hope through a stand dedicated to young people and their journey as Christians in the contemporary world.
