The ninth edition of Maggio dei Libri, Italy’s national campaign to promote reading (an event awaited by thousands of book lovers), officially opened on 23 April, World Book and Copyright Day, and will continue until 31 May, concluding with a Pro-Memoria Festival in Mirandola/Modena from 31 May to 2 June.

This year, for the first time, our FSP Publishing House is a partner in the National Center for Books and Reading Campaign to foster greater sensitivity to the importance of reading. This year’s slogan is: If I want to have a good time, I read.

Many FSP encounters and presentations will be featured during the campaign, including events in our book centers throughout Italy and also in other locations, such as the Turin Book Salon.

The objective of the Campaign promoted by the Center (an Autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities) is to implement policies for the dissemination of books and reading in Italy, as well as to promote Italian books and the Italian culture abroad.
