On 26 November 2011, the fortieth anniversary of Blessed James Alberione’s birth to heaven, the Italian Province of the Daughters of St. Paul launched a page on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/figliedisanpaolo), the Internet’s best-known and most-used social network.
For now, visitors to the site are welcomed by the Pauline logo, a picture of our congregational emblem draped over an open Bible, another picture of Fr. Alberione, one of an international group of FSPs, and a few words of greeting from Sr. Giovannamaria Carrara, Provincial Superior. Navigators can also watch a video clip on the Founder entitled, “Night of Light” and leave a message about their impressions and reflections.
Young women and other Facebook subscribers who want to get to know the Daughters of St. Paul better can find not only the testimonies of individual sisters already on Facebook but also a place in which they can leave their comments, share ideas, information and experiences concerning the life of the Daughters of St. Paul, our charism, spirituality and mission. The digital world is becoming, more and more, the “home” of Jesus Master, accessible with a single click!
