It was very heartening for the Daughters of St.Paul of Bandra to see that nearly a hundred people had enrolled in their new creative Bible study course, entitled Growing with the Word of God. The inauguration of the course took place on 26 January 2020, aptly chosen to coincide with the Sunday of the Word of God. The participants, ranging from 16 to 90 years of age, many of whom are from far-flung parishes of the Archdiocese of Mumbai, displayed a high level of eagerness and enthusiasm for the sessions to come.
Growing with the Word of God is a year-long certificate course organized by the FSPs in response to the deep longing of many of the faithful in the Archdiocese to develop a practical and functional relationship with the Word of God. Various interactive methodologies, including group discussions, have been planned. Our sisters hope that the course will help its participants engage creatively with God’s Word by thinking, reflecting, reasoning, analyzing and asking questions that will help them “log in” to the supreme knowledge of the Scriptures–God’s Truth.
