To give color and warmth to evangelization: this is the all-consuming apostolic commitment of SAB, the biblical animation service of the FSPs of Brazil. The purpose of SAB is to help individuals, groups and ecclesial communities read the Bible in its vital context, allowing this more profound understanding of the Word to cast light on contemporary situations.
SAB’s pastoral program for 2012 inserts our sisters of Brazil into the heart of the biblical-ecclesial movement solicited by the post-synodal apostolic exhortation, Verbum Domini, which urges all Christians “to promote formation, prayer and knowledge of the Bible in accordance with the Church’s faith” (n. 73).
