The FSP Book Bank is a solidarity initiative by means of which books purchased in any FSP multimedia center in Italy can be donated to a Federation of associations working in favor of the disadvantaged.
Organized by our FSP Publishing House of Italy in collaboration with the non-profit organization FIAGOP (Italian Federation of the Associations of Parents of Children with Cancer), the activity is being carried out in all the FSP multimedia centers throughout the country from 27 November–6 December 2014. Thanks to the Book Bank, a person can purchase a book or books and leave them in the center.
The books collected will then be given to FIAGOP and its partner-associations for distribution. In addition, the FSPs have pledged to donate to the Federation the same amount of books as those donated by their clients. The FSP Book Bank is one of the many projects being carried out in Italy to celebrate the Centenary of the Pauline Family. Its purpose is to reach out to one of the “existential peripheries” mentioned by Pope Francis as an area in need of pastoral care and support.
