Enriching Apostolic and Vocational Experiences

The Year of Consecrated Life is providing the FSPs of Liverpool with a number of enriching apostolic and vocational experiences. After the solemn opening of the Year in the Liverpool Cathedral, our sisters participated in a radio interview in which they explained the meaning of the Year of Consecrated Life in the Church. Not long after this, they met with young people to present the Pauline charism and mission.

In February, the community participated in a 3-day Vocation Festival featuring celebrations, information and proposals concerning the consecrated life. The sisters tell us that during Lent our book center will be organizing various initiatives for the public, including a presentation of the sacrament of reconciliation and an encounter for young people who want to make a vocational discernment.

Every Saturday afternoon, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration in the book center chapel. By means of these initiatives, our sisters are striving to implement the solicitations of Pope Francis to create “alternative spaces” in which to concretize the Gospel logic of gift, fraternity, an acceptance of differences and mutual love.
