This book invites the reader to reflect on Twelve Christian Virtues; faith, hope, love, joy, prayer, trust, patience, forgiveness, creativity, faithfulness, generosity and gratitude. These virtues are of great help in navigating difficult times on a personal level and community life. Using these twelve virtues in this book, knock at the door of God's providence in faith to lay bare in His presence our loss and grief. Our modern life today encourages us to glorify the seemingly happier moments and to stamp out suffering from our lives. Nevertheless, suffering has a way of showing up in our life without any promptings on our part. The Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe wrote. "When suffering knocks at your door and you say there is no seat for him, he tells you not to worry because he has brought his own stool."
