The Power of Ideas / the Ideas of Power was the theme chosen for the fourteenth annual BookCity Milan event. It took place in various locations across the city from November 10 – 16, dedicated to books and reading. The event was promoted by the Department of Culture in the City of Milan and the BookCity Milan Foundation. It featured hundreds of encounters, primarily book presentations, as well as activities and initiatives designed to promote literary culture.
This year’s program showcased books and authors that explore resistance to repression, the aspirations of people seeking freedom, and the value of independent thought. Among the leading presenters were the Pauline Congregations, offering various events, including a series of encounters organized with other Catholic publishers in the Sala Ricci of the San Fedele Foundation.
The initiative, entitled Artisans of Ideas – BookCity Spirituality, is the result of collaboration between the Diocese of Milan and the publishing houses Àncora, Ares, ITL Libri, Paoline, San Paolo Edizioni, and Vita e Pensiero.
