On April 20, 2026, a meeting was held at the International Pauline Book Centre in Rome with Father Gaetano Piccolo, a Jesuit and the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical Gregorian University. The occasion was the presentation of his new book, Voglio essere felice. Dinamiche umane della vita consacrata (“I Want to Be Happy: Human Dynamics of Consecrated Life,” published by Paoline Editoriale Libri, the Italian publishing house of the Daughters of St. Paul.
At the same time, he emphasized that these themes concern not only those who have chosen consecrated life, but speak to everyone, because they touch closely on the way each person seeks self-knowledge, learns to direct desires, and strives to live life fully.
The meeting concluded with a speech by Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, who urged us to consider the desire for happiness as a true path to holiness, even for Christians today.
