On 28 June 2014, the FSPs of Germany gathered in the beautiful Bavarian city of Nurnberg to celebrate the Centenary of Foundation of the Pauline Family and also our Institute’s 50th anniversary of presence in Germany. The event crowned a series of apostolic initiatives organized by the sisters to commemorate these two milestones. In the early afternoon, the community and some of its lay collaborators set up a stand in front of the FSP book center in St. Jacob’s Square and offered passers-by coffee and sweets to celebrate the occasion. This was followed by an invitation to watch a short film on the Pauline charism and afterward participate in a solemn Mass celebrated by Archbishop Ludwig Schick of Bamberg in St. Elizabeth Church. In the evening, a theatrical performance on the life of Fr. Alberione was staged in the same church. The role of Alberione was played by actor Benedikt Anzeneder and musical accompaniment was provided by the Paulus Streichquartett. The festivities concluded with refreshments for all the participants.
