The Daughters of St. Paul celebrated their 70th anniversary of being present in the city of Lodi. For the occasion, they carried out some very meaningful events.
One of them was a “Literary Reading” that comprised the presentation of two meditative books, Un libro nelle viscere (A book from one’s depths) and Nei passaggi dell’anima (Passages of the soul), and a meeting with two biblical scholars, Fr. Roberto Vignolo and Fr. Giacomo Perego, SSP; the blessing of the book center concluded the day.

On October 28, a solemn Eucharistic Celebration of thanksgiving took place in the Crypt of the Lodi Cathedral, presided by the local bishop, Bishop Giuseppe Merisi; civil and religious authorities were in attendance.

Concluding the series of events was the presentation of the Encyclical Lumen Fidei by Archbishop Rino Fisichella. Archbishop Fisichella, president of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization, comes originally from Lodi.
