Various religious orders and institutes, movements and new communities were the protagonists in the Vocation Fair held in the splendid Quinta da Boa Vista Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as part of the 2013 World Youth Day celebrations.
More than 100 booths were set up, offering flyers, books, audiovisuals, testimonies and songs to the curious crowds of young people who wound their way through the aisles, imparting an international flavor to the event. The Fair gave the young people a chance to speak directly with persons responsible for vocation work so as to learn about their institutes or movements, exchange ideas and take away some food for thought.
“The Fair,” explained its organizers, “is the ideal place for coming face to face with the will of God.” This is its purpose and, as such, it has become an integral part of WYD wherever it is held around the globe.
