This year the Pauline Family throughout the world is celebrating a Vocation Year on the theme: Fan into a flame the gift of God that is in you (2 Tm. 1:6). In view of this, the Directive Team for Vocational Animation of the Pauline Family in Italy has organized, with the help of collaborators, the continuous reading aloud of the Gospels and the Letters of St. Paul over a 24-hour period. The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. 15 November to 5:00 p.m. 16 November 2019, at the Queen of Apostles Shrine-Basilica, located next to the community of the Daughters of St. Paul in Via Antonino Pio, 75, Rome. The initiative, which is open to everyone, is entitled: The Word of God Is for All. About 180 people of all ages, professions and backgrounds will take turns reading aloud the biblical texts non-stop, day and night, for 24 hours. The readings will be interspersed with music.

Sr. Regina Cesarato, pddm, will open the event with an introductory meditation on the importance of the Word of God and the reading of the Bible. Times have also been programmed for the testimony of journalists, men and women religious, and high-profile people from the entertainment world.

Convinced that the Good News must also be celebrated in order to be “good news” for our lives, the initiative will end with a Eucharistic celebration in the Queen of the Apostles Shrine-Basilica.
