Computerization of its precious archives, a new Internet website and an innovative platform for managing content: these are just some of the initiatives programmed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Vatican TV Center, inaugurated on 22 October 1983 by will of John Paul II.

Other projects underway are: publication of a book recounting the story of “the Pope’s TV station,” which includes expert analyses of the papal messages via images, and a series of 5 DVDs containing the station’s most important programs over the last few years. To cap the festivities, a Congress in Rome is scheduled for 18 October 2013.
