From November 9 – 16, a spiritual retreat was held at Casa Betania, hosted by the Sisters of the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master in Rome, on the theme: ON THE WAY: From Jerusalem to Damascus. From Persecutor to Apostle. The retreat was organized and led by the Pauline Family Spirituality Center (CSFP). This program opens a three-year cycle dedicated to the personal and apostolic experience of St. Paul. Twenty-two members of the Pauline Congregations and a representative of the Annunziatine Sisters participated.
The CSFP adopted a new methodology for the course, offering four periods of prayer on the Word each day. An integral part of the program were instructions based on Blessed James Alberione’s Donec formetur and the opportunity for daily spiritual accompaniment. From the participants’ sharing, it emerged that the program proved challenging, fruitful, and conducive to a personal journey marked by the Word of God. Silence, understood as a dimension of listening, and the opportunity to experience the spiritual exercises as a Pauline Family were aspects of the program recognized as valuable and fruitful.
This initial experience paves the way for a series of spiritual exercises that will be held in 2026 in various Pauline communities in Italy and around the world. Indeed, at the request of the Superiors General, this program is intended for the entire Pauline Family.
