After being obliged to suspend meetings at the national level for more than two years, a small group of Pauline Cooperators from various parts of Italy renewed its resolution to make the Spiritual Exercises together, this time on the Pauline Family’s theme for the year’s spiritual journey: “Be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God…” (Rom 12:2). The course was held in Ariccia, at the Divine Master Retreat House, an especially meaningful place for the whole Pauline Family. It lasted only a few days, but it was intense and was characterised by silence, prayer, reflection, discussion and dialogue.
During the meetings, the new Statutes of the Association of Pauline Cooperators (ad experimentum for 2022-2027) were presented for the next five-year period. A normative document, it now envisions the Cooperators taking more initiative as active members of the Association. As such, the Statutes are meant to contribute to the renewal of the Pauline life and mission in the world, according to the prophetic intuition of Blessed James Alberione.
