From 19-22 June 2017, the Signis World Congress took place in Quebec City, Canada on the theme: Promoting Stories of Hope. The days were marked by numerous plenary sessions and workshops attended by more than 300 professional Catholic communicators, including three Daughters of St. Paul. The participants listened to the stimulating input and then shared ideas concerning subjects related to the world of communications.

Sr. Rose William Pacatte, fsp, from our U.S./ESC Province, served as moderator for two different panel discussions. The following day, at the Gabriel Awards ceremony, she received the Personal Achievement Award in Media from the Catholic Academy of Radio and Television (the most prestigious award of the evening!) and on the last night of the gathering she received the Catholic Press Association’s award for Best Regular Column for Culture and the Arts in the National Catholic Reporter Magazine.
