To use communications to bring the Word of God to more than 140 countries across the globe: this is the goal of SIGNIS, the World Catholic Association for Communication, which this year celebrates 65 years of activity in Rome. During the encounter organized to commemorate this event, the different stages of the organization’s history were presented, along with its prospects for the future.
In 2015 alone, SIGNIS implemented 257 pastoral communications projects in more than 20 countries. It has also opened more than 40 local radio and TV stations in Africa over the past 10 years. Across the globe, the Association is striving to promote human dignity, justice and reconciliation in the light of the Gospel.
The FSPs are international members of this important organization and collaborate with it willingly in the sphere of media and communications.
