In the light of Pope Benedict XVI’s post-synodal document Africae Munus, which calls the family a sanctuary of life, the FSPs of South Africa, in collaboration with the South African Episcopal Conference’s Organism for the Family, held a seminar to help the faithful get to know and reflect more deeply on the elements necessary for the formation, spiritual life and cultural growth of this basic building block of society.

The seminar was subdivided into three parts:

→ a presentation of the document
→ a conference on the family
→ a special look at the world of youth.

A significant number of people participated in the event and shared their first-hand experiences of what family life is like in today’s ever-changing world.
