Trent, Italy was the venue of the awards ceremony for this year’s Religion Film Today Festival, which focused on the theme: Change! Religions, Society and Change.
The films participating in the competition tackled this subject from different perspectives ranging from an Italian comedy about interreligious cohabitation, to subtle explorations of situations and feelings about the issue, to films recounting the desire for a dialogue between faith, religious institutions and the challenges of civil society.
The film, Circles, by Sdran Golubovic (Serbia, 2013), was acclaimed as Film of the Year by the Festival’s international jury.
