The World Association of Community Radio Stations in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Latin American Radio Education Association and the Bostezo Cultural Association have invited community radio stations and popular educational broadcasting stations in Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in a radio contest entitled Disseminating Local Stories Abroad.
The purpose of the contest is to give wider publicity to the cultural work these radio stations and groups are doing in their niches in society, as well as encourage them to produce radio programs that can be broadcast internationally.
