To celebrate the second anniversary of Pope Francis’ pontificate, the St. Paul International Multimedia Center, Rome, in collaboration with the city’s American Catholic community (with headquarters in St. Susanna Church), sponsored a lecture at which Cardinal Walter Kasper presented his latest book, entitled: Pope Francis: Revolution of Tenderness and Love: Theological and Pastoral Perspectives.
         The key points of the book are:
– Pope Francis’ continuity with his immediate predecessors;
– mercy: the key element of his pontificate;
– the Pope’s ecclesiology, which is rooted in concreteness;
– special attention to the poor and to existential peripheries;
– the commitment to living the Gospel radically, authentically and joyfully.
         The majority of those who participated in the event were friends and regular clients of the Multimedia Center.
