The Oscar 2016 awards were conferred in Los Angeles.  The Best Film was awarded to The Spotlight case, a rigorous and authentic reconstruction of how, in 2002, the Boston Globe journalists uncovered the pedophilia scandals within the dioceses.

The director Tom McCarty has launched a heartfelt appeal: «It’s time to protect the children and restore the faith».

A tribute also to the eighty-seven year old Italian musician Ennio Morricone, who finally received the Oscar for Best Original Score, written for the film The Hateful Eight by Quentin Tarantino.
