PAKISTAN
Witnessing to the Word

In Pakistan violence, armed attacks and bombs are unfortunately a daily reality. Risk and danger are a part of everyday life.

The sisters and the circumscription’s novices on apostolic experience in the local communities set out each day to visit schools and parishes in cities and villages near and far, where they hold book displays that offer constructive and formative material to people of all faiths. As part of their mission, they also provide local Christians with religious animation.

Five of our young sisters from Karachi recently made a 20-hour car trip to the Quetta region, which has always been a target for violence due to its political factions and tribal conflicts. In their month-long sojourn there, our FSP evangelizers concretely experienced the closeness of Alberione and Thecla to them because God, who continues to be faithful to his promise to protect the Pauline Family in times of war, enabled them to return home safe and sound each evening, their hearts overflowing with gratitude for having been able to proclaim and witness to his saving Word on their visits to schools, parishes and families.
