On 10 December 2015, the FSP International Multi-Media Center, Rome, in collaboration with the management board of the Vatican Museum, held an encounter to launch two new books: Meditations on Vatican Art and Meditations on Vatican Art–Angels, edited by Fr. Mark Haydu, L.C., International Director of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museum. Addressing the more than 100 people who filled the Museum’s conference hall, Fr. Mark presented the two new titles, casting light on the profound messages that art can transmit to people, inspiring them to meditate on events and persons of faith in the history of Christianity.

The encounter was opened by Professor Antonio Paolucci, Director of the Vatican Museum, who expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for these two new books, saying that they offer people a key to interpreting art in a way that can help them relish the spiritual aspects of the immense patrimony of sacred art on display in the Vatican Museum.

Those who attended the book launch were all very interested in the titles presented and flocked to the book display set up by St. Paul Multi-Media International. The encounter ended with refreshments in the Vatican Museum’s Picture Gallery, giving everyone the chance to admire first-hand some of the masterpieces featured in the new books.
