The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement in the Czech Republic held its annual gathering in the city of Brno from 9-13 July 2014. More than 7,000 people from around the country and nearby Slovakia participated in the event, which featured a program rich in conferences, Bible meditations, prayer sessions, Eucharistic Celebrations, informal meetings and cultural performances of various kinds.

This year’s meeting centered on the theme, Lord, teach us to pray (Lk. 11:1), with talks geared to helping everyone reflect more deeply on the Our Father. One of the guest speakers was Fr. René-Luc, a courageous witness of our times. The FSPs of Prague were present with a book stand that offered the public valuable resources in the areas of formation, spirituality and culture.

The most-requested publication was Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, followed by numerous titles published by the FSPs. Our sisters also offered visitors the gift of small messages from the Bible, which proved to be very popular and which contributed to making the Brno experience particularly meaningful.
