Twinning of USA and Mexico

One fruit of the redesigning project, in particular the “twinning” of the USA and Mexico, is that two sisters from the United States were inserted into the FSP community of Mexico City to learn Spanish through direct contact with the territory. During their sojourn “south of the border,” they not only took classes at the Spanish Institute in Puebla but also had the chance to participate in various cultural experiences that helped them get to know their new environment. Our Pauline Book Center proved to be an ideal place for fostering contact and exchanges with the people.

The purpose of this “immersion” was to enable the sisters to subsequently dedicate themselves to service of the Spanish-speaking people in the USA. The two FSPs have now returned to their own country (one to New York and the other to California) filled with gratitude for this experience and hopeful that this “mutual exchange” project will continue.
