The Catholics of Villa Rica, Colombia (a region near the Pacific Ocean) recently celebrated a ten-day “mission to the people” in St. Roch parish, where many initiatives for the Year of Faith are being be organized. The fact that the team coordinating the event was both intercongregational and international in make-up rendered the mission especially meaningful.
The FSPs of Colombia and Peru, along with some of their Cooperators, made a notable contribution to the initiative by means of their visits to the families and schools of the area, their animations of various liturgical services, their daily radio messages to the people, the meetings they organized for adults, teens and children, and their enrichment of the music/dance dimension of the program.
All were moments of grace, “favorable times” for everyone to deepen their relationship with God and among themselves with renewed enthusiasm.
