In keeping with the desire of the President Bishops of CELAM (Latin American Episcopal Council), an Observatory of the New Evangelization for Latin America has been set up.
The Observatory aims to be a structure of information, research and study regarding the new evangelization underway in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to accompany the local Churches on their journey and to stimulate an exchange of experiences. In addition, the Observatory wants to reflect more deeply on the great challenges the Church is facing in carrying out her mission of evangelization and to investigate the motives that are causing Catholics to abandon the Church.
