In Colombia, World Communications Day is being celebrated this year by means of a digital campaign that will begin on 26 May and last until August. Entitled “I said yes,” the 3-month project, which is based on the Pope’s Message for World Communications Day 2013, will give participants the chance to interact with one another through the social network system.
The initiative is aimed in particular at young Catholics and their teachers and has enlisted the involvement of Catholic organizations such as the Social Communications Department of the Colombian Bishops’ Conference, the Pontifical Institute for Missionary Works, the Company of St. Paul and the Daughters of St. Paul. It is hoped that through this project Catholics will learn to share their experiences with one another on the virtual level.
