Eight Daughters of St. Paul from our Indian province recently celebrated their Golden Jubilees of religious profession. The provincial superior of the Society of St. Paul, Fr. Joby Mathew, presided over the Eucharist, together with 15 concelebrating priests. A festive reception followed the Liturgy. During the cake-cutting ceremony, the jubilarians (Srs. Ancy, Clare C.L, Elsa, Elsy, Rosa, Marietta, Mary Paul, and Stella) were introduced to the assembly by means of a presentation that outlined all the good the Lord has done through each sister’s commitment to the FSP mission in India and abroad.

The aspirants prepared a show to entertain the more than 200 sisters who had gathered for the occasion, many of whom had traveled from different parts of India and the world to be beside the jubilarians on their special day.

The message of the superior general, Sr. Anna Caiazza, was read by Sr. Matilda D’Souza, provincial superior of India. The event concluded with a cultural program in which the sisters of the community and the young women in formation performed a variety of skits and dances.
