The Giffoni Film Festival, a cinema festival for young people held every summer in Giffoni Valle Piana (Salerno), Italy, has become by now an eagerly-anticipated annual event for tens of thousands of children. This year alone, the panel of judges numbered 3,300 representatives from 41 countries and 160 Italian cities.

The 43rd edition of the Festival was held from 19-28 July 2013 on the theme Forever Young–a topic particularly suited to the spirit of this “youngest” event on the international cinematography scene.

Out of 2,500 films sent in from 90 different countries, 150 made it to the finals, which opened with a preview of Monsters University, the highly-awaited latest Disney production.
