Forming the Laity in the Pauline Charism

On 11 Dec., following their first meeting with the laity on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Blessed James Alberione’s “birth to heaven,” the Daughters of St. Paul of our Bucharest community began their second year of forming their lay collaborators in the Pauline spirituality.

The theme of this year’s course–Getting To Know the Father’s Plan of Love for Each One of Us–follows the itinerary sketched out in Fr. Alberione’s key work, Donec formetur Christus in vobis. Fr. Guido Gandolfo will develop this theme in four successive meetings. The second part of each encounter will be dedicated to a Lectio Divina on the readings of that particular Sunday so as to help the laity get to know the Word, discover its wealth and establish closer bonds with Jesus Truth.

The first meeting opened with a Bible enthronement ceremony and a sign of personal adherence to the Word of God in deference to the thought of Blessed James Alberione, who urged his first sons and daughters to venerate the Bible.
