The 53 bishops of the Democratic Republic of the Congo recently met for two days of formation on the new media.
The encounter, organized by the local Episcopal Conference, was a first for the Church of the Congo. During the concluding Eucharistic Celebration, SIGNIS awarded several people certificates acknowledging their valuable contributions to the world of social communications.
Participants in the Liturgy included about 2000 representa-tives of Basic Christian Communities in the Kinshasa area. In this joyous climate of festivity, both the Daughters of St. Paul and the Society of St. Paul received from Cardinal Mon-sengwo a cup and a certificate of appreciation for their presence and apostolic activities in the Congo.
